Kilcummin Children make generous donation to St. Vincent de Paul
Preparations for Christmas are well underway in Kilcummin with the Christmas decorations up, the letters have been sent to Santa and the children are so excited counting the sleeps to the big night.
But the school community of Kilcummin National School and Playschool have also been busy helping families give the wonder of Christmas by donating food for their annual St. Vincent de Paul food appeal.
Mr. Paddy O'Sullivan, a representative from St. Vincent de Paul and a former teacher in Kilcummin National School visited the school. He accepted the generous contribution of seven hampers to the appeal from the Student Council and Miss Charlene O'Connor. Mrs. Marie Condon, organiser and teacher in Kilcummin National School commended the children and their families on their kindness and compassion at this special time of the year.
