Kids choir spreads some Christmas cheer

By Michelle Crean
It's not just the adults that dig deep for charity - but also some local children who gave so generously to help others.
That's what the kind-hearted children from The Kiddie Kingdom Gospel Choir did as they spread some Christmas cheer.
Last week, all the children emptied out their piggy banks to raise money for the charity 'Friends of the Children of Chernobyl Killarney. They raised an amazing €132 for a very worthy cause.
"I wanted the kids to get the chance to give back at Christmas time and it is lovely for children to be able to raise money for other children their age," Caoimhe Lynch told the Killarney Advertiser.
"The kids in my choir are always so full of joy and love and it was so lovely to see how excited they were to help other kids who are in need. It is important for kids to be given the opportunity to give as well as receive. The money will go towards helping children over in Belarus, supplying them with basic items that we often take for granted."
