Kerry’s newest Men’s Shed to open in Barradubh

Kerry’s newest Men’s Shed has arrived. Barradubh Men’s Shed will be opening soon. Repair works are ongoing in The Old Schoolhouse, Barradubh.
The committee, which is made up of Mike Boffey (Chairman), John Ward (Treasurer), Pat O’Mahony (Secretary), Ted O’Leary (Development Officer/Health and Safety) and Neal Allen (IT) are working flat out to bring the premises up to scratch.
The group have thanked Marie O’Sullivan, Barraduff Tidy Village Group, Councillor Michael Gleeson, Councillor Niall Kelleher, Linda Gordon (Kelleher) of Torc Solicitors, Kerry County Council, South Kerry Development Partnership and many more who have helped in any way.
The most important tool in the Men’s Shed, as quoted by John Evoy, Founder of the Men’s Shed Movement in Ireland, is the kettle. A kettle and toaster were kindly donated by O’Leary Electrical, Killarney. Topline have donated tools and safety equipment through Paddy O’Keeffe’s Gattabawn, Gneeveguilla for which the committee are very grateful.
