Kelly celebrates June’s European Elections
Former GAA President Sean Kelly hosted a celebratory gathering in Killarney on Saturday night to mark his recent success in June’s European Elections.
Kelly was first to be elected for the Ireland South constituency in the 2024 European Parliament elections in June.
He exceeding the quota of 114,761 by over 8,000 votes to be elected in the first count to ensure he returns to Brussels for another five years.
A well-respected figure within the GAA community, Kelly has served as both Chairman of the Kerry County Board and the East Kerry Board before turning to a successful career in politics in 2009.
He held an election celebration at the Killarney Plaza Hotel on Saturday night last and
guests included Michael Ring TD and Colm Burke TD.
