It’s panto time in Killarney
T
THE curtain will rise on Kerry’s first professional pantomime when it is staged in the INEC from tomorrow, January 2, until January 4. Beauty and the Beast opened last week to standing ovations at TLT Drogheda.
Limerick comedian Karl Spain leads a star-studded cast which also includes Red Rock star Adam Weafer and Clara Murray of RTÉjr fame. Karl, who is familiar from his TV appearances including Karl Spain Wants a Woman and Operation Transformation, play castle keeper Bertie. “This is my second year performing in pantomime and I am humbled, and genuinely and pleasantly surprised by the wonderful production values,” he told Killarney Advertiser.
“I always thought pantomimes would involve messing around and a bit of craic, but the pace is incredibly fast.”
There will be two shows daily in the INEC from January 2-4; to book check out www.inec.ie, or call 064-667 1555.
