Hugh Murhill memorial walk raises €6770 for Irish Kidney Association

A fundraising walk in memory of one of Killarney’s most popular horsemen raised €6770 for the Kerry Branch of The Irish Kidney Association

Large numbers turned out to mark the 4th anniversary of his passing of Hugh Murhill and to raise funds for The IKA, a charity very close to the heart of Hugh and his family.
Funds raised will go towards the upkeep of two holiday homes in Kerry, located in Killarney and Tralee.
These offer respite to both transplant and dialysis patients where they can enjoy a breakaway free of charge. They also have the option of bring their own dialysis machine where they can continue their dialysis and enjoy time away.
“We were delighted to accept the very kind donation of €6770, the proceeds of the Memorial Walk,” said Teresa Looney of the Kerry Branch of The Irish Kidney Association.
“Our heartfelt thanks to his wife Susan, his children Jemma, John, Kaylyn, Hugh Daniel and his grandchildren for organising this special event."
