Holy Cross Mercy bids farewell to three long-serving teachers

Holy Cross Mercy School said goodbye to three dedicated educators: Deputy Principal Anne Lucey and Assistant Principals Judy O’Mahony and Lucy O’Mahony.
They retired after a combined 112 years of teaching service.
On Thursday, last week, the school community gathered to mark their commitment.
As the school day ended, pupils and staff formed a guard of honour for Anne, Judy, and Lucy as they left the school for the last time.
The children sang a special song for the teachers.
Later that evening, school staff and members of the Board of Management met at the Killarney Plaza Hotel to celebrate the retirees' careers.
Michael Coghlan, Chairperson of the Board of Management, presented gifts to Anne, Judy, and Lucy on behalf of the Board, thanking them for their significant contribution to the school. Colleagues also made presentations to mark their service.
