Health and wellness masterclass at The Aquila Club

LEARN how to make the most of your health and fitness routine at a special masterclass taking place at The Aquila Club in The Gleneagle Hotel on Saturday, February 11, and help a deserving cause while you’re at it.
Fitness experts Gary McGowan, Paddy Farrell and Larry Doyle will impart their knowledge and top tips for a healthy lifestyle in an informative series of talks.
Originally from Killarney, Gary McGowan is a personal trainer and founder of Skinny Gaz - an online and personal training service. Gary’s area of expertise is in the application of functional anatomy and biomechanics in exercise design.
Paddy Farrell is a student of Biochemistry in UCD, and founder of the personal training service Program Apex. Paddy uses his understanding of biochemistry to optimise personal training programmes.
Larry Doyle has been a personal trainer for the past 14 years and has worked with a huge array of clients from corporate executives to physique athletes. The three men have combined their expertise in a new personal training service called Triage.
Their talks will cover a range of topics, from common fitness industry myths to the impact of stress, as well as nutrition and strength training and will be of relevance to people with all levels of fitness from beginners to the more advanced. There will also be a number of demonstrations and a questions and answers session.
Tickets cost €40 and include a day pass to the Aquila Club. The masterclass takes place from 10am until 1pm on Saturday, February 11. All proceeds from the event will go to The Burren Chernobyl Project. For further information call The Aquila Club on 064-6634063.
