Just hang in there and give it a go!

I
IT WAS a case of action stations for Rita McCarthy from Castleisland as she abseiled from the roof of the INEC, Killarney, today. Rita was one of many enthusiastic participants in the Give it a Go festival organised by Active Retirement Ireland and The Gleneagle Hotel and sponsored by Hidden Hearing.
Give it a Go takes place over the next three days and celebrates ageing and the freedom and opportunities retirement has to offer. Motorcycling, surfing, abseiling and mountain biking are just some of the activities on offer.
The festival celebrates the freedom and opportunities retirement can offer. Day tickets cost just €10 and this includes entry to exhibition hall, the chance to try a range of activities and entry to the educational seminars.
And after a lengthy day of action and adventure, there is live entertainment every evening, including performances by Brendan Shine, Red Hurley, The Ronan Collins Showband Show and HIYA Entertainment. Tickets to the nightly entertainment are €20.
To buy day tickets for Give it a Go, nightly entertainment and a full description of the various activities on offer visit www.gleneaglehotel.com or call 064-6671550.
