Free trad concert at St Mary’s on Saturday
Spraoi Chiarraí continues its series of free summer concerts on Saturday.
The second concert of the season starts at 8pm at St Mary’s Church of Ireland.
Rising Kerry stars; multi-instrumentalist and singer Aisling Wharton (Fiddle/Guitar/Vocal) will be joined by Listowel native Edel Quinn (Accordion & Whistle).
This feast of young Irish Folk talent is joined by Tim O’Shea (Director/Producer), himself a professional folk musican for decades.
Open to all, this family entertainment is sponsored this year by Kerry Co. Council Arts Office (Arts Act & Commnity Support Funds)and Killarney Chamber of Tourism and Commerce.
The season will close with two more concerts, one, an outdoor event at Killarney House on August 19 . The final one, on August 26, returns to St Mary’s.
