Free parking boost for shoppers this Christmas
Kerry County Council has confirmed that its annual Christmas parking concessions will return in Killarney, giving shoppers extra support during the key festive trading period.
The scheme will operate from Friday, December 5 to Sunday, January, 4, 2026. During this time, motorists can park for free between 9.30am and 2.00pm daily in several council-run car parks, with a two-hour maximum stay in place.
The locations covered are Glebe Car Park, Upper New Street Car Park, Lower New Street Car Park and Fair Hill Car Park.
In addition, Lewis Road, High Street and Rock Road car parks will offer all-day parking for €2 throughout the same period. Normal charges will still apply to on-street parking, which is not included in the scheme.
