Fossa National School pupils’ French language journey

Students in fifth and sixth class at Fossa National School have recently completed a ten-week French language module, organised by Post Primary Language Ireland (PPLI).
The programme, led by native French teacher Hélène Olivier-Courtney, has provided students with a solid foundation in the language.
Olivier-Courtney, who is also the director of French For All Killarney School of French, has been working with the school since 2021.
"I am very attached to the school. My sixth class pupils started their French journey four years ago, and I wish them the best in secondary school. I hope they have developed a love and curiosity for the language and will continue to learn,” she said.
She also thanked the school's management and staff, including Principal John Burke and Deputy Principal Rosemary Moynihan, for their ongoing support of the "Say Yes to Languages" initiative.
