Final Quest Killarney Adventure Race set for October
The organisers of Quest Killarney have announced that this year’s event will be the last. The final race will take place on Saturday, October 11.
First held in 2011, Quest Killarney has grown into one of Ireland’s best-known adventure races, attracting thousands of competitors from Ireland and overseas.
The race is set against the backdrop of Killarney National Park and includes running, cycling and kayaking routes of varying lengths.
Event director Oliver Kirwan of Elite Event Management said Quest Killarney holds a special place in the history of the Quest Adventure Series.
“We’ve been privileged to welcome thousands of participants over the years, and this final edition will be a celebration of everything that makes Quest special, the challenge, the camaraderie and the setting,” he said.
Five routes will be available on the day: Challenge, Sport, Pro, Expert and Elite. Entries are now open, via www.questadventureseries.com and organisers expect them to sell out quickly.
While Quest Killarney ends this year, the Quest Adventure Series will continue with new events planned for 2026.
