Fantasy football prodigy Luke finishes 3rd out of 480

At just seven years of age, Luke Tucker is surely the youngest manager in the Killarney Advertiser fantasy football league but if last month’s table is anything to go by, he’s also one of the best.
Luke came within inches of winning February’s Manager of the Month Award, eventually winding up third out of 480 participants.
Each month the top-ranked manager receives a €50 voucher from our generous sponsors Brian James and although Luke just missed out on first place, we thought his efforts were still worthy of a prize.
Adam Moynihan invited the prodigious soccer fan into the Killarney Advertiser offices this week to talk tactics and receive his special consolation prize, an official Nike Premier League football.
Luke also had some good advice for struggling managers: don’t overthink it. Luke’s father, Denis, and older brother, Dylan, are also fantasy enthusiasts and Denis admitted that the youngest Tucker seems to have the right idea.
Speaking after their meeting, Adam said that he was really impressed by the young Manchester United supporter.
“Luke’s message about not overthinking it will certainly resonate with a lot of fantasy managers. He backs himself and as any top manager will tell you, confidence is key.”
