Exploring Paris twinning and Euro Disney collaborations
Killarney Town Twinning Association (KTTA) is exploring opportunities for collaboration with the Santeny, Paris Twinning Association, including potential links with Euro Disney.
Seynabou Diop, President of the Santeny, Paris Twinning Association, was recently hosted by KTTA to continue discussions on potential benefits in education, culture, sport, and tourism for both areas.
Sean Counihan, KTTA Chairperson, said: "We see great opportunity for Killarney clubs and groups in this collaboration given it's close proximity to Euro Disney etc."
Seynabou’s daughter Maelle Diop is currently undertaking a two-week internship with Kerry Community Youth Service (KCYS).
During her visit, Seynabou explored options for bringing a group of young people from Santeny to Killarney in October.
Santeny is located 20 kilometres from central Paris and is close to Euro Disney.
KTTA believes continued engagement with the Santeny twinning association will enhance Killarney's international visibility.
