€145,000 facelift for section of Lewis Road

Lower Lewis Road will be closed to traffic from tomorrow (Wednesday), as well as Thursday and Friday as part of a €145,000 upgrade. The road closure will include the junction between St Anne’s Road and College Street from 8am to 7pm daily.
Following the resumption of many roadworks projects as part of the reopening of the economy and society, the works are being completed as part of the Killarney Municipal District Schedule of Works for 2020.
Diversions will be in place daily on those days and will be clearly signposted.
The works will involve planing out the existing surface of the road, excavation, and repair and resurfacing of the road. The public footpath will remain open to pedestrians during the period of works which are being completed ahead of the busier summer season.
Kerry County Council appreciates the co-operation of local residents and all road users while these important works are carried out.
