Dunloe Hotel plans major expansion
The Dunloe Hotel and Gardens has submitted a planning application to Kerry County Council for a significant redevelopment of its property.
The ambitious project will see the demolition of existing hotel wings, including the spa, leisure facilities, and some guest rooms, to make way for a range of new amenities.
At the heart of the development plans is the construction of a new five-story building housing 97 modern guest rooms.
This will be complemented by a state-of-the-art two-story spa and leisure wing, featuring pools, treatment rooms, and relaxation areas.
A new first-floor restaurant and kitchen will be built on an existing terrace.
Sustainability is a key focus of the development. Plans include the installation of solar panels on the existing reception building to harness renewable energy. The hotel will also be incorporating energy-efficient technologies throughout the new construction.
The planning application, which includes landscaping and site improvements, is currently under review by Kerry County Council.
