Council urges motorists to exercise caution

F
FLOODWATERS in many parts of the county have now receded following heavy rainfall overnight last night. All major routes are now passable and the only road to remain closed in the county is the R570 road between Glenflesk and Barraduff.
However Kerry County Council is advising motorists to exercise caution on all routes as there is a Status Yellow wind warning in place for Kerry from 9pm tonight to 9am on Wednesday.
The following is the situation around the county as at 4.30pm:
Killarney: The Foiladown road near Glenflesk has now re-opened as has the road between Coolcorcoran and Knockeendubh.
The R570 road between Glenflesk and Barraduff remains closed.
Tralee: All roads in the Tralee area are now clear, including the bypass and Ballymullen.
Motorists are advised to watch out for the surface water on the roads this evening and tomorrow morning and to take precautions with their property ahead of forecasted high winds.
