Community to celebrate diversity at KASI Le Chéile on December 7

KASI, the Killarney Immigrant Support Centre, is hosting a special intercultural event, KASI Le Chéile, on Saturday, December 7, at St. Oliver's Primary School in Ballycasheen.This event is open to all members of the community and aims to celebrate diversity, equality, and shared values.
Marilyn Catapat-Counihan, KASI Coordinator said: “We want to create a space where everyone feels welcome and valued. By celebrating our diversity, we can foster a more inclusive and harmonious community.”
KASI Le Chéile will feature a variety of activities, including cultural performances, food, and music. It will be an opportunity for people from different backgrounds to connect, learn from each other, and build lasting friendships.
KASI has been a vital resource for the Killarney community, providing support and assistance to immigrants and refugees. By organising events like KASI Le Chéile, and participation in local events like the St Patrick’s Day Parade. the organisation aims to promote intercultural understanding and combat prejudice and discrimination.
The event will take place from 2pm to 5pm. All are welcome to attend and celebrate the diversity in Killarney.
