Community College students’ Barcelona trip

A group of students from Killarney Community College recently embarked on a memorable trip to Barcelona, Spain.
On their first day in Barcelona, the students embarked on a guided tour of the city, taking in stunning panoramic views and visiting iconic landmarks such as the Sagrada Familia. After a day of sightseeing, they returned to their base in Salou.
Day two offered a mix of adventure and culture. The students began the day with a thrilling cable car ride to a scenic viewpoint overlooking Barcelona.
Next, they delved into the fascinating world of science at the Barcelona Science Museum, followed by a scenic bus journey to the majestic Mont Serrat monastery.
Day three was an adrenaline-filled experience on the high-flying roller coasters and rides at the renowned Portaventura theme park. Despite the rain, they made the most of their time and enjoyed the park's thrilling attractions.
On their final day, students visited the world-famous Picasso Museum and the fascinating Barcelona Aquarium. Before heading to the airport, they also had the opportunity to do some shopping at the marina.
