Community College student wins gold in National Cyber Security Competition
Killarney Community College (KCC) is celebrating after third-year student Ramana Alagappan received a Gold Award for his ‘Cybersafety Heroes’ project in the 2025 Adventures in Cyberland nationwide competition.
The competition is organised by UCD’s Centre for Cyber Resilience Education (CCRE) and is designed to recognise students who use creativity and critical thinking to promote a safer and more responsible digital world.
Ramana's project, which was listed as Gold in the award category, addressed this year's competition theme: “Global Opportunities and Challenges in Cybersecurity".
Ramana has been invited to attend the Adventures in Cyberland Awards Day on December 11 at UCD in Dublin.
