Christ’s crib is now mobile

By Michelle Crean
If you can't get to the Christmas crib then the crib can make it to you as a local group have made a mobile version which can be transported across town.
The idea came about from a Justice, Peace and the Integrity of Creation (JPIC) committee of the Kerry dioceses.
Richard O’Brien volunteered to design it and make it himself. The crib design was inspired by past Vatican cribs.
The Legion of Mary, which is led by Shelia Goulding, is offering to bring the crib around to different areas of Killarney. There will also be carol singing and prayers offered and two priests with the group Fr Derek O'Connell, St Mary of the Angels Beaufort, and Fr Eamon O'Driscoll OFM of the Killarney Franciscans.
"The crib is currently on display in front of Richard's house," Dan Crowin told the Killarney Advertiser.
"We are also visiting old folks' homes and there are a few days left for booking. Anyone interested can talk with Shelia by ringing her on 087 7796966."
