Christmas Bingo to Support Kerry Parents and Friends

A special bingo session is set to take place in the Community Centre Rathmore on Sunday, December 7 at 3:00 pm.

The event is being held in aid of Kerry Parents and Friends Association and will feature numerous prizes alongside a huge Christmas Raffle. The session is open to all members of the community.
The special bingo is being held in memory of Michael John Dinneen, who dedicated many years to running the local Bingo and the annual Sale of Work. Mr Dinneen also served as the Chairman of the Kerry Parents and Friends Association.

Chamber brings business leaders together with MEP


Killarney Chamber of Tourism and Commerce welcomed MEP Cynthia Ní Mhurchú to Killarney on Tuesday, this week, for a roundtable discussion with Chamber Executive Committee members and local business leaders to discuss issues of strategic importance to the region’s economy and tourism sector.


Held at the Government Offices on New Road, the meeting provided an opportunity for Chamber representatives to engage directly with the Ireland South MEP on a range of matters affecting businesses across Killarney and the wider region.
As a member of the European Parliament’s Internal Market and Consumer Protection (IMCO) Committee and the Transport and Tourism Committee, Cynthia Ní Mhurchú has responsibility for policy areas that are particularly relevant to Killarney’s tourism-led economy. The discussion focused on issues impacting local enterprise, tourism, regional connectivity and future economic development, while highlighting the importance of ensuring that the views of businesses in the South-West are represented at European level.
The roundtable reflected Killarney Chamber’s ongoing commitment to engaging with elected representatives at local, national and European level to advocate for the interests of its members and the wider business community.

Second summer parade lights up the town


Locals and visitors turned out in force on Monday night for the second street parade of the new Summer in Killarney Festival.


The parade featured local dance groups, marching bands, floats, and street performers as it made its way through the town centre. It forms part of a month-long festival schedule running alongside seasonal events including the Killarney Races, the Killarney Regatta, and the Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle.
Organised by the Killarney Chamber of Tourism and Commerce, the festival is supported by Fáilte Ireland, Kerry County Council, the NPWS, and Heineken. Events continue throughout the month, concluding with an outdoor cinema night and SPIN South West DJ set at Killarney House.
