Special delivery made to community hospital residents

By Michelle Crean
The children of Scoil Bhride Loreto had a very special delivery this week for the residents of the Killarney Community Hospital.
The kind-hearted children wrote letters and made over 80 Christmas cards which lifted the spirits of the residents.
"This was first started during COVID where the children wrote letters, made cards and asked residents to fill in a questionnaire about what school was like long ago," Padraig O'Sullivan told the Killarney Advertiser.
"The children of Scoil Bhride Loreto have promised to bring their school Céilí band down to the grounds of the Community Hospital to perform an outdoor concert for the residents before the end of the school year. The children and staff hope they have a merry Christmas and that they enjoy the cards, letters and chocolates."
