T
THEY recently presented an impressive €2,600 to the Kerry/Cork Health Link Bus and to date Killarney Valley Classic & Vintage Club has generated a whopping €100,000 for local charities within the last four years.
The most recent cheque presentation followed the fourth annual Christmas charity walk which took place on December 28. “The club is looking forward to our next charity project which we are currently working on which is the restoration of the Massey Ferguson MF135 tractor,” said chairperson Tom Leslie. The tractor will be raffled off during the summer months once fully restored.
The club members meet on Thursday evenings from 7pm to 9pm at Killarney Men's Shed to work on the tractor. “Anyone interested in getting involved can get in touch on 087-3381842,” added Tom. “We would like to say a special thanks to Kerry Mental Health and Killarney Men’s Shed for the use of their facilities.”
