Chamber’s disappointment over stalled Pretty Polly site development

The Killarney Chamber of Tourism and Commerce has expressed disappointment at the lack of progress on the development of the former Pretty Polly site.
Co-Presidents Johnny McGuire and Pádraig Treacy welcomed the advancements made on other significant projects in the town, such as the Aras Phadraig site and the new community nursing unit.
““It is great to see progress being made with the Aras Phadraig site and the new community nursing unit which is looking fantastic and will be a wonderful addition to Killarney when it is officially open very soon,” they said. “The pledge to provide a minor injuries unit in Killarney is also to be welcomed as such a facility is obviously required in a town which sees its population multiply dramatically every tourism season.”
However, they expressed concern over the stalled development of the Pretty Polly site,
“While many projects are progressing at pace, it is frustrating that there is still no movement on the former Pretty Polly site which is earmarked for development as a training college for the hospitality industry,” the co-presidents stated.
