Chamber Replies to Castleisland Road Closure
P
President of Killarney Chamber of Commerce Paul O'Neill has released a statement on the closure of the Farranfore to Castleisland road for almost 3 months from Thursday May 24th - Monday 20th August
"I have spoken to Kerry County Council expressing concern about the timing and duration of the works. I have been told that the timing of the work is unavoidable, due to flooding/weather and fisheries. I have also been assured that the contractors will be working to capacity to get the work done in as short a time as possible. The suggested primary diversion is via the Tralee road roundabout. This will add approximately 8 minutes to a journey time. It is important to convey the message to those that may be affected; bus operators, deliveries and visitors etc.
Killarney is open for business."
