Chamber president Kate to sleep under the stars to shine a light on homelessness

T
THE president of Killarney Chamber of Tourism & Commerce is to shine a new light on the issue of homelessness in Ireland today when she sleeps outside on the grounds of Christ Church Cathedral in Dublin on October 21.
Kate is joining other business leaders to raise funds to support the vital work of Focus Ireland and their aim to end homelessness in Ireland.
“Family homelessness has reached historic proportions in Ireland with more than 2100 children living in emergency homeless accommodation in Ireland often unable to get to school, rarely getting a home cooked meal and sinking into darkness,” said Kate.
“No one should accept this as today’s landscape in Ireland,” added the Killarney Chamber president who hopes that by joining this initiative she will help make a difference.
