Celtic boss: “In the second half they were just a different team”

Speaking after their disappointing 4-1 defeat to North End United in the last 16 of the FAI Junior Cup, Celtic manager Celtic Eoghan Donnellan admitted that the visitors were “far better” than his side in the second half.
“In the first half I thought we were well in the game,” he said. “We went in at half time 1-0 up and I suppose the only unfortunate thing was that we didn’t get a second goal. But in the second half they were just a different team.
“They’re a top class side. They have a lot of experience, a lot of guys in their late 20s… They’re a very strong team physically, very quick and very good in transition.”
Celtic don’t have much time to lick their wounds. On Saturday afternoon they’ll face Waterford Crystal away in the 5th round of the Munster Junior Cup and the Celtic boss says it’s sure to be a difficult one.
“It’s a tough game. They’re a really good side and they’ll be hard to beat at home. It’s always difficult after a defeat to pull yourself up again for the next weekend.”
