Caring act by Anabla pupils

It's the time of the year to think of others - and pupils in Anabla National School did just that this week - by carrying out a number of acts of kindness.
Pupils at Anabla NS this week prepared care packs for the residents of Our Lady of Lourdes Nursing Home in Kilcummin.
Families generously donated various items including toiletries, books, puzzles, chocolates and craft items which will be put to good use by the residents.
Care packs will be quarantined on arrival at the nursing home and distributed after the quarantine period by staff, explained principal Patricia O'Shea.
"Pupils are also creating pieces of art for that extra special personal touch for the residents. Senior pupils would usually perform Christmas carols every year for the residents and as this could not take place this year this was a way of doing something special for the residents."
The school also took part in Christmas jumper day on Friday last raising funds for the nursing home.
"The school would like to thank our parents for supporting both causes generously and wish everyone a happy Christmas and New Year."
