A man has died in a house fire near Cappanlea, Killorglin overnight.
The man in his 60s was the sole the sole occupant of the house.
The fire broke out shortly after 5am this morning.
Gardaí and emergency services are currently at the scene of the fire at Glencuttane Lower, Kilgobnet, Beaufort
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The scene has been preserved for a technical examination and the body remains at the house but at this stage the incident is not believed to be suspicious
