Branching out in Killarney
E
EVERY cloud has a silver lining and this is literally the case in Killarney following the fallout of Hurricane Ophelia and Storm Brian. Volunteers are using the trees felled by the recent storms branch out to help people in need in the locality.
The Killarney National Park Mountain Meitheal volunteers, at the request of Killarney National Park management, have swung into action to cut up fallen trees for firing.
The timber is for sale at the Killarney Men’s Shed and proceeds will go to the Killarney branch of the Society of St Vincent de Paul.
