Book on school life in aid of Kerry Hospice
Following its successful launch in April, the book ‘Futures From the Past’ has been flying off the shelves.
A collaboration between students participating in St Brendan’s College Writer in Residence scheme and poet Noel King’s active retired writers, this book of poems and stories has already raised €800 for Kerry Hospice.
The money was presented to Cathal Walshe of Kerry Hospice this week.
Spearheaded by King, and facilitated by teacher Mary Denise Lyons, this volume gives an interesting insight into school life, past, present and future – and all for a good cause.
Futures from the Past is available from St Brendan’s College and O’Connor’s Newsagents in Killarney; Priced at €9, all proceeds go to Kerry Hospice. All remaining funds will be donated in September.
