Ballyhar Bridge to reopen by the end of October

DAMAGED: Ballyhar Bridge which has suffered from structural damage is set to reopen at the end of October.

A specialised contractor has been appointed to repair Ballyhar Bridge which suffered structural damage last week.
They will begin the repair works of the damaged parapet on the bridge, located on the L2019, on October 3 and it's expected it will reopen on Friday, October 28.
Kerry County Council currently has a temporary road closure in place with traffic diversions between Ballybrack Cross and Rathcommane Cross.
