Artist Deirdre Geraghty has opened a new permanent creative space for adults at 22 New Street in Killarney.

Named Art Jam Studio, the premises offers a social and creative environment designed for both beginners and experienced individuals.

The studio operates with an art cafe format during the day, allowing people to drop in and choose an activity from a menu.

Daytime options include pottery painting, splash art, tote bag customisation, and collage-making.

The studio also hosts structured weekly adult courses in pottery, abstract art, and mindful painting, alongside community creative get-togethers on the first Thursday of every month.

For evening entertainment, the venue runs weekend bring-your-own-bottle (BYOB) social events, such as "Paint & Sip" and "Sculpt & Sip" nights.

The space is also available for corporate team-building, wellness workshops, and hen parties.

Founder Deirdre Geraghty has spent nearly two decades running creative workshops for international companies including Google and IBM.

Her business, Art Jam Ireland, was previously named the Best Art Workshops winner at the EU Business Irish Enterprise Awards.

The new Killarney location will serve as the permanent base for these workshops and will also function as Geraghty’s working artist studio, where her own contemporary paintings will be on permanent display.

Geraghty stated that the studio is focused on the therapeutic process of making art and having a night out with friends, rather than creating a technical masterpiece.

Booking for the summer workshops, daytime drop-in sessions, and weekend social events is now open.
