Apple CEO: Put down your iPhone

Tim Cook has warned Apple fans against the overuse of technology, while also voicing disapproval for social networks, during a recent visit to the UK.
Speaking at Harlow College in Essex, the Apple CEO said the firm doesn’t measure success on how often customers are using their devices. He went on to say: “I don’t believe in overuse [of technology]. I’m not a person that says we’ve achieved success if you’re using it all the time. I don’t subscribe to that at all”.
“There are still concepts that you want to talk about and understand. In a course on literature, do I think you should use technology a lot? Probably not.”
Cook also revealed his opposition to children using social networks, revealing he doesn’t allow his nephew to partake. He continued: “I don’t have a kid, but I have a nephew that I put some boundaries on. There are some things that I won’t allow; I don’t want them on a social network.”
Cook didn’t offer any reasons for the social network ban. Does he know something that we don’t?
