A TOP-CLASS performance from Scotts Lakers St Paul's Antuan Bootle just wasn't enough as, in the fourth quarter, Paul Kelleher's charges kicked it into another gear to drive on and take the victory in the Basketball National League: Men’s Division 1 game in Killarney.
The final scoreline stood at Scotts Lakers St Paul’s Killarney 79, BFG Neptune 84, as BFG Neptune kept their winning start to the season intact with a nail-biting win before a capacity crowd in Killarney Sports Centre on Saturday evening.
The top scorers were as follows: Scotts Lakers St Paul’s Killarney: Antuan Bootle 26, Mihail Kapitanov 14, Cian Clernon 12; BFG Neptune: Gary Walsh 20, David Murray 16, Roy Downey 14; half-time score Scotts Lakers St Paul’s Killarney 48-38 BFG Neptune.
