Annual Opel run departs from Gleneagle on Saturday

Opel and Vauxhall enthusiasts from all over the country will gather at the Gleneagle Hotel on Saturday morning for the 16th annual Ted's Opel Vauxhall Run.
This year’s route will take the cars through some of Kerry’s most scenic landscapes and rally stages.
On leaving the Gleneagle Hotel drivers will head over Moll's Gap into Sneem, on to O'Carroll's Cove Beach Bar and Restaurant where they will stop for lunch.
After lunch they will continue to Waterville and over Ballaghisheen Pass and Ballaghbeama Pass before returning to the Gleneagle Hotel via Moll's Gap.
“We are again delighted to have the long term continued support of Opel Ireland, Cartell.ie. and Casey Caravan Services,” said organiser Ted O’Connell.
“Since the first run in 2008 our chosen charity has been the Dogs for the Disabled, a very worthwhile Charity and their work makes such a difference to people’s lives.
“All Opel, Vauxhall, Bedford and General Motor vehicles are welcome regardless of age. If you have an Opel or Vauxhall, polish it up and bring it out, you might even win an award or a spot prize.
