236th Killarney Regatta launched

The four contestants for this year’s Killarney Regatta Queen were announced at the Killarney Avenue on Tuesday night.
The 236th Annual Killarney Regatta will take place on June 30 at O'Mahony’s Point.
The regatta was launched at the town centre hotel earlier this week.
Sarah McCarthy (Workmen’s Rowing Club), Jane Keating (Muckross Rowing Club),Amy Healey (Flesk Valley Rowing Club) and Niamh Kissane (Fossa Rowing Club) were named as the four queens for this year’s event.
This year Hall of Fame crew was also announced at the launch.
The Muckross Senior Men’s of 1993 which consisted of Seamus Guiney, Sean Coffey, Sean McCarthy, John Cronin, Morris Coffey, Brendan O'Neil and Jon Beasley and their trainer Ulich Daly will be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
“We hope to see many of you down at O’Mahony’s Point on June 30, whether you're cheering from the shore or pulling an oar,” said PRO Nikita Wharton.
