23% of Killarney Advertiser readers think Kerry will get relegated
A
A poll carried out by Killarney Advertiser Sport has revealed that almost one-in-four readers think Kerry will be relegated at the end of the 2019 National League.
Kerry won the Division 1 title as recently as 2017 but a disappointing 2018 has apparently left many supporters feeling pessimistic ahead of the new campaign. Just 2.4% of respondents think Peter Keane’s men will lift the trophy at the end of March, with 13.3% predicting that Kerry will be defeated in the final.
The Kingdom finished 5th in 2018 and 27.7% believe a similar fate awaits their team this time out, while one-third of those who voted think that Kerry will improve and finish either third or fourth.
Kerry will get their 2019 National League campaign up and running at home to Tyrone on Sunday. Check out this week's Killarney Advertiser for an extensive preview and follow @AdvertiserSport and @AdamMoynihan on Twitter for the latest updates.
