Foley’s Cottage at Muckross Traditional Farmhouse has reopened to the public following an extensive restoration.
The medium sized 1930-style farmhouse is based on the Foley family cottage in Barleymount.
Master craftsmen used traditional material, for the re-roof and re-thatch and a provision for under floor geothermal heating system will preserve the fabric of the building for future generations.
The project is funded by the Trustees of Muckross House and Gardens.
