KERRY COUNTY COUNCIL is advising everyone that a Status Orange wind warning remains in place until noon today. There are very high waves in coastal areas and spot flooding in places.
The main message from the council at present is that there is a lot of debris and fallen branches on many routes but main routes are all passable.
The following issues have been reported to the council:
· Fallen trees and branches on Kenmare to Kilgarvan road, Kenmare to Sneem road and Kenmare to Lauragh
· Spot flooding at Kilflynn on the N69, local roads in Camp, and the Ardfert to Ballyheigue road
· Diversions are in place on the N71 at Bell Height Kenmare which is impassable at present
· The N22 at Brennan's Glen and the Countess Road in Killarney are now fully passable following earlier partial closures
Council crews are dealing with all of the above at present.
