Fanning the flames of excitement for Rose of Tralee selection

W
WELL, things have certainly been hotting up this year in the Dome as the Rose of Tralee televised selection kept audiences spellbound last night. And in less than half an hour, hundreds of thousands of viewers will be tuning in to RTÉ One television to watch the second and concluding part of the show.
Last night the Rose of Tralee got off to a fiery start as Cork Rose Denise Collins showed her burning ambition in a literal sense!
Science teacher Denise conduced an experiment with fire, butane gas and washing-up liquid, with dazzling results.
Entertainment provided by the first 18 contestants to take to the stage included everything from raps to samba dancing.
Dáithí O Sé will take to the stage at 8pm to interview the remaining 14 Roses (including our Kerry Rose Danielle O'Sullivan from Killarney) and the show will conclude with the crowning of the 2016 Rose of Tralee at 11.15pm.
The 2016 Rose of Tralee will be serenaded by country singer Nathan Carter, who said he was honoured to be taking part in the festival again.
