St Paul’s move home fixtures to Pres Gym following flood damage
Both the St Paul’s national league men’s and women’s basketball teams will play their opening home games of the new season in the Presentation Gym due to ongoing repairs at their regular venue.
The Killarney Sports and Leisure Centre remains closed following severe flood damage sustained during torrential August storms, which required the main hall floor to be completely relaid. Management at the facility expects the sports hall to reopen in November.
The St Paul’s men's team open their home schedule at the Presentation Gym on Saturday, October 3, against Templeogue at 7.30pm, followed by home ties against Titans on October 10 and Moy Tolka Rovers on October 24.
Meanwhile, the Utility Trust St Paul’s women’s team start their home Super League campaign in the Presentation Gym on Saturday, October 10, hosting Trinity Meteors at 4pm. They follow this with home fixtures against UCC Glanmire on October 20, Liffey Celtics on October 24, and Waterford Wildcats on October 31.
The club confirmed that James Fleming and Utility Trust have returned as primary team sponsors for a second consecutive season, providing the financial support required to compete in national competition.
