ULSTER OPEN SUCCESS:
Members of Killarney Pickleball Club who competed in the Ulster Open in Belfast last weekend, where Max and Marco Regosa secured silver in the men's 3.5-3.99 doubles category, while Kumar Shreyansh won silver and Jyotindra Swaroop earned bronze in Sunday's mixed doubles events. Killarney riders impress at Scottish Enduro Series
Killarney Cycling Club member Tom Costelloe came within a whisker of securing a top-ten finish on his international mountain biking debut in Scotland last week.
A team of local riders travelled to Innerleithen for Round 1 of the Scottish Enduro Series, taking on a demanding course against top international competitors. Riders faced a gruelling 37km loop featuring 1,500 metres of elevation gain split across five timed stages.
Competing in the Under-18 category for his first international event, Costelloe produced a strong performance to earn 11th place in a competitive field.
In the M30 category, local rider Jason Murphy used his experience across the technical terrain to secure a solid 13th-place finish. Meanwhile, Adam Murphy represented the club in the Pro Men’s category, with some of the world’s top racers to take 12th place.
Following the successful trip, Killarney Cycling Club extended its thanks to all local sponsors for supporting the riders’ international campaign.
Youth Mountain Biking
Killarney Cycling Club hosts regular mountain bike rides for youth riders every Sunday morning in Muckross. Anyone interested in participating can find further details and contact the club via the official KCC website.
