Killarney Valley AC duo star for Team Ireland in Budapest

Killarney Valley AC athletes Beibhinn O'Donoghue and Lauren McEvoy delivered impressive performances on the international stage, helping Team Ireland claim the best overall country title at the FISEC Games in Budapest, Hungary.
Competing against top young talent from across Europe in sweltering heat, both athletes enjoyed strong individual success.
Beibhinn O'Donoghue equalled her personal best in the 400m, finishing in 62.40 seconds to place 11th overall. The young runner, who also competes in the 400m hurdles, will take great experience from her first international cap as she targets breaking the 60-second barrier in both events.
Lauren McEvoy secured 5th place in the 100m hurdles by equalling her personal best of 14.90 seconds. She also placed 7th in the 100m sprint in 12.44 seconds before helping Team Ireland take silver in the 4x100m relay.
