Killarney Cycling Club to host County Championships
Killarney Cycling Club will host the 2025 Kerry County Cycling Championships next Saturday, September 13, on the Kilcummin village circuit.
The event headquarters will be at The Village Inn Bar in Kilcummin, with the first race of the day beginning at 11am.
Racing will take place throughout the day across a range of age groups, from under-12s to senior and junior riders.
The circuit is a 6.8km loop around Kilcummin village, with distances varying depending on category.
The under-12 riders will complete one lap, while under-14s will tackle three laps. The under-16 girls’ race will cover five laps, and the boys’ event six laps.
Senior and junior riders will compete in the longest race of the day over nine laps, a total of 61.2km.
Youth prize presentations will take place at 1pm, followed by the senior and junior races starting at 2pm.
The Kilcummin route has been described as a challenging circuit that will provide tough but enjoyable racing for competitors.
