Final Anam Session of the summer this Monday
The final Anam Session of the summer season takes place this Monday, August 25, at 7pm in the Anam Centre on East Avenue.
Local musician Tim O’Shea will be joined by guest Mike Walsh from Knocknagoshel for the free concert of traditional and folk music. The event brings to a close the eight-week series of Monday evening performances which have featured both established and emerging talent from Killarney and beyond.
Walsh, a flute and whistle player steeped in the Sliabh Luachra tradition, recently performed at an Irish festival in Greece and will also join O’Shea on his annual tour of Germany in October.
The series has been run as a pilot project and is sponsored by the Kerry Arts Office.
