Camera Club ends season with Print Competition
Killarney Camera Club held its final meeting of the season at the Anam Arts Centre with an Open Print Competition.
A total of 18 prints were on display on the night.
Elizabeth Browne took first place in both the Novice and Unrestricted categories with her photo of Tory Island Lighthouse at dawn. The image, taken in Donegal, shows the lighthouse lit by the early morning sun, highlighting the coastline and sea around it.
“Tory Lighthouse is almost 200 years old, still in operation, and remains one of the island’s major historical monuments,” said Maryann Moriarty from the club. “Liz captured a serene and beautiful moment as the sun rose over the Atlantic.”
Elizabeth was also named the most improved photographer of the year.
The club welcomes new members. Anyone interested can contact: secretary@killarneycameraclub.ie.
