Local Vodafone store owner, Jessica O’Connor, stressed the importance of digital literacy for older adults, particularly during the busy Christmas season.
O’Connor explained that many older customers, especially during the Christmas period, are transitioning from basic phones to smartphones. This can be overwhelming, leading to frustration and a sense of isolation.
To address this, Vodafone’s specially trained staff offers personalized support and step-by-step guidance to help older customers navigate the digital world.
By offering assistance with everything from setting up a new device to understanding online security, the store aims will help older adults stay connected with their loved ones.
"Digital exclusion creates barriers to social interaction, access to services and even mental well-being.
